It's kind of sad being black growing up today. Being a teenager and going out frequently I notice how I police myself when I'm out, especially living in a white community. Also living with a grandmother who lived down south during the civil rights movement is heartbreaking when you take a step back and see how she's living and making us live, telling me to not draw attention to myself when I'm out it stay reserved at all times, but I am who I am. I'm black and I'll never let them forget it.

DO YOU GUYS HAVE THAT ONE FRIEND THAT DOESN’T THINK SHE’S ANYTHING SPECIAL BUT SHE’S BEAUTIFUL AND FUNNY AND WITTY AND EVERYTHING AMAZING THAT YOU COULD EVER WANT IN A PERSON BUT SHE DOESN’T SEE IT AND YOU JUST WANNA TAKE HER AND SHAKE HER AND SCREAM IN HER FACE ALL OF THE AMAZING THINGS ABOUT HER JUST SO SHE WILL APPRECIATE HOW ABSOLUTELY LOVELY SHE IS

someone could be thinking this about you right now you never know
